Sandra F. VanBurkleo and Larry Hart, the recent new owners of 949 Moore Drive own Artisan Knitworks LLC at 105 N. Main downtown.  They moved the shop from Farmington, MI, when the lease was up – and they are very glad they did.  What a great welcome!  The shop has a space for socializing and for classes; it also has a wonderful array of yarn-y goods, new and vintage buttons, and some completed accessories and garmets.  Sandra is also a professor in the Department of History at Wayne State University; she’s trying now to finish another book before retirement.  Larry is a professional photographer, advertising maven and marketer with a long career in those fields, often in collaboration with car companies.  They have a darling quite beautiful cat named Bubba who isn’t nearly as smart as his name suggests.

Please email me (luannkoch53@gmail.com) a short bio of yourself so we may get to know all of our neighbors.  It’s fun, and it’s your turn!!

New and Seasonal Tips

Trash day pick up is early on Tuesday Morning.  Please be aware that we have Critters who love your trash, so please don’t feed them until the night before pickup day.

Also Recycle day pick up is early on Wednesday Morning.  We would ask that you keep your Recycle Bin in your Garage except for the night before pickup or day of pickup.

Holiday’s that fall on Monday DOES NOT delay our Trash pickup days.  ONLY Holiday’s that fall on Tuesday’s, then both Recycle and Trash may be picked up on same day.

Please remember, dogs are not to be left unattended outside of our Units, and please pick up after them as you are walking around our Community.

Modification Requests forms are available on our Website.  These requests are for any modifications you would like to make on the outside of your unit.  For example:   windows, enhancements to landscaping, radon mitigation systems, new outside A/C units, handicapped railings or ramps to name a few.  Please fill out the required form and mail or deliver to Scott Allen #802.  The request will be placed on the Board Meeting Agenda which is the 3rd Tuesday of the month.  Please submit accordingly.

HAPPY SPRING!!!

Note Regarding Installation of Satellite Dishes

6/24/2013

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM BRIDGETOWN CONDO ASSOCIATION

You CAN have a satellite dish at your Bridgetown residence, but it must be installed in accordance with the association’s specifications.  Here are the important points to keep in mind.

1.  It must be installed on the rear of your unit.  It cannot be on the front facing Moore Drive.

2.  It can only be attached to wood.  It CANNOT be attached to the roof or the siding.  Remember, the association owns the exterior of all of the buildings.  The association takes responsibility for maintaining and replacing the roof and the siding and has the legal right to prohibit unapproved attachments.

3.  If you or your installer would like to see examples of ACCEPTABLE installations, look at:

911 Moore Drive:  mounted on wood.

913 Moore Drive:  attached to a tripod on the deck.

833 Moore Drive:  mounted on wood.

4.  If a satellite dish is mounted on your unit in violation of these requirements, you will receive a letter instructing you to have it re-installed in an approved manner.  The association will then repair any damage to the roof or siding, and you will be charged for the cost.  If you do not comply by the date stated in the letter, the association will remove (but not re-install) the dish, and you will be charged for any damage to the roof or siding.

Sincerely,

Bridgetown Condominium Association Board of Directors

Note from Bridgetown President Jason Morris

12/2/2012

I wanted to let everyone in Bridgetown know that my family has decided to move from Bridgetown.  Our condo had simply become too small for us.  This was a difficult decision because we have loved living in Bridgetown for so many years.  However, when the opportunity came for us to move into a house, it was one we could not pass up.  I still own my condo and am currently renting it.  With the board's blessing, I have decided to continue to serve on the board as your president.  I care about this community and what to continue to see it be a successful one.  I believe we have made great strides in the upkeep of this community and want to continue to be a part of this continuing to happen.  I can still be reached at the same phone number and email listed under the contact information, should you have any questions.  The good news is we are only a few blocks away in Chelsea!

Sincerely,
Jason Morris
Bridgetown Condominiums Board President

Thanks to All Who Attended Annual Meeting

11/8/2012

Thanks to those who attended the annual meeting on October 29th.  We are pleased to announce that Hank Muir and Chris Sayer were re-elected to two-year terms.

Also, we have big projects in store for 2013.  You may have noticed the new pump house.  This system will allow us to continue to use the well to water grass and the company has guaranteed this will prevent rust.  Thanks to Jeff, Walt, and Danny for all of their hard work on the pump house project.

We will also be replacing the siding in 2013.  It is 20 years old.  Colors will be very similar to what they are now.  One difference you will see is that we will put simulated cedar shakes above the garages.  This will continue to allow Bridgetown to stay modernized!  Also, new light fixtures will be installed above garages and other places as well.

Finally, the board voted to NOT increase dues for 2013.

Again, thanks to all that make Bridgetown a great place to live.  Best wishes to all residents and their families for a safe and happy holiday season!

Jason Morris,
President
Bridgetown Condominiums

Grass Issues

8/25/2012

Co-Owners:

The board has been working with Tru-Green on the issue of the dead grass.  Please know that this is being addressed and many of the areas that are dead between the sidewalks and streets will be re-sodded this fall.  Also, other dead patches will be re-seeded.
